FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you shoot for free?

No!!! I do not shoot for free. My time, skill and creativity are valuable commodities to me and photographic equipment, business expenses, living costs and taxes have to be factored in and accounted for. What you pay for is my time behind the camera, creativity, experience and the individuality of my work. I charge for my time by actually undertaking the photo session, all editing, post-processing in addition to uploading images to private galleries, exporting at different files sizes, ordering and organising products and finalising images, making ready for delivery to the client.

How much do you charge?
The big question! EVERY job is different, EVERY client wants different things therefore I now cost each enquiry on an individual basis. Whether it is a wedding, portrait, commercial job or modelling work. Quotes are valid for a period of 21 days and any not booked after that time period will be deemed closed. I endeavour to offer the best possible price I can. I do not offer discounts, “Mates Rates” etc so please don’t ask.

Do you supply prints and products?
Yes - I supply prints and products either as packages or as items sold separately in various quantities.

The products I currently supply are: -
Matt and Gloss prints from small to extra large.
Canvas Wraps at various sizes
Photobooks
Photo Wedding Albums

I do not use High Street shops or supermarkets to supply my prints and products. My suppliers are very competitive within the industry, produce excellent work to a high standard and deliver within the stated time period.

If I receive notice from suppliers of product discounts at COST I will wherever possible factor this into current price lists as and when discounts come available, for a set period of time in conjunction with the offers available to me.

Who holds copyright of the images?
The copyright of all final edited images presented to the client resides with Bryn Graves, (BRYNPhotography). All digital copies of the images are supplied with a usage licence that states what the image(s) can and can’t be used for. I take copyright ownership very seriously and any infringement will be followed up within the guidelines with regards to current UK Copyright Law.

Do you Supply Digital Hi-Res Files?
Yes. I supply Hi-Res images at 4000px longside for formal events such as weddings as christenings only. A Usage Licence is included with the file(s) purchased stating what the image(s) can and can't be used for.

I only supply High Resolution Images for photography packages involving formal family events such as weddings and christenings where the cost of supplying the high resolution images is factored into the cost of the package.

Do you keep back-up files of client’s work?
Yes, every shoot is imported into my DAM Software - Lightroom and simultaneously copied to another drive. After all editing is finished the final files are exported as High Resolution Files and archived on my personal cloud server. So at the very least
there will be three copies of the client’s files held for a period of 12 months. After 12 months the original files from the shoot are deleted and this leaves only the edited digital negatives and a high resolution export remaining. These are kept indefinitely.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes, I am no longer making bookings firm unless a deposit has been transacted in advance of the event/shoot. If no deposit has been transacted the shoot will NOT go ahead. It takes a great deal of time and effort to organise my commitments to enable me to photograph events and shoots.
